Las Fallas de Valencia
Las Fallas de Valencia is a unique and colourful festival celebrating Saint Joseph. Every March, the city transforms into a spectacular stage where impressive monuments made of wood and cardboard, known as fallas, are erected. These artistic creations, often satirical and full of wit, depict various themes and are the result of months of work by local committees. During the festivities, the streets are filled with music, fireworks, parades, and a variety of festive events. The climax arrives on the night of the 19th of March, when the fallas are burned in a spectacular 'cremà ', symbolising rebirth and renewal.
